I have two adopted x-racing greyhounds. Within weeks of adopting my first dog, I was able to train my dog to stay, come, no and down commands. My second adopted greyhound within weeks of adoption, learned stay, come and no. I was not able to train my second dog to learn the down command. Unfortunately, my second dog had negative reinforcement used while training as a racer, unlike my first dog.
I had signed my dogs up for daycare, and asked about training. The Saturday before my dogs were going to be at daycare, I took my second dog in for an evaluation.
I dropped my dogs off for daycare in the morning, and was wondering how my dog would do with training.
When I returned that evening, I was VERY happy to see that not only had my second dog learned down, but also sit! They then showed me how to work with my dog. I continue to work with both my dogs on their training. However without help my second dog would not have a new sense of security and calmness.
It was worth the training fee to see a positive change in my second dog. I would recommend both daycare and training at Alex Brooks.
